  • Grievance Arbitration and Labour Board Litigation – We regularly appear before arbitrators and tribunals and, where necessary, provide advice on labour dispute preparation and act as counsel on applications for injunctive relief and judicial review.
  • Legislative compliance – We provide quick and expert advice on compliance with legislation that impacts your workplace, including labour relations, human rights, employment standards, pay equity, pensions and benefits, and workplace health and safety.

Human Rights & Accessibility

      • We assist you in developing and reviewing your policies and procedures for conformity with human rights and accessibility legislation and compliance with accommodation requirements;
      • We provide training for managers and employees with respect to discrimination, harassment, accessibility and their obligations under the law;
      • We conduct or advise in conducting internal investigations;
      • We representing clients during human rights investigations and in complaints to the human rights tribunals;
      • We prepare policies, conduct training and otherwise assure compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarian’s with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance.

Occupational Health & Safety

      • We provide advise to enable compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and we provide representation with respect to compliance, stop orders and charges under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Workplace Safety & Insurance

      • We provide general advise with respect to WSIB matters;
      • We assess your liabilities in the areas of return to work obligations, the duty to accommodate, labour market re-entry and entitlement to benefits,
      • We assist with audits and investigations by government bodies, and provide representation in prosecutions or appeals.
